A LARGE BIRCH BARK BASKET WITH BEADED DECORATIONThe large and unique birch bark basket twined with elm root is made rare by the application of glass beading to create a surging rattlesnake decoration. The original birch bark tag is present identifying the origin as Potawatomi Nation and year of creation as 2000. The maker's name, Sandra Walker and her tribal roll number are recorded on the underside. A blue ribbon of merit from the 12th Annual Lawrence Indian Arts Show is included.Measures 7.5 x 14 x 11 inches.Very good condition throughout, no damage, repair or wear.
