A Victorian Silver on Brass and Glass Lidded Biscuit Jar Britain dated April 26 1869 Cylinder shape clear glass biscuit jar with meandering diamond relief design on the body and radiant star design on bottom; silver on brass collar hinged lid with attached floral finial; in a silver on brass platform raised on three reticulated scroll legs. With acanthus leaf design on lid and platform. Marked with maker's mark "AC & Co." "5005" two "E" letters on the plate bottom; glass jar marked with molded register mark and dated April 26 1869 inside on the bottom. Overall measures apprx. 7-1/2"T x 8"D at the widest point.
