Sheffield dated 1876 Oblong oval shape having engraved sides with wreath handles that open to reveal the reticulated covers for hinged double compartments with sliding mechanism; frame cast in shape of twigs. Marked with Fenton Brothers hallmark British register mark dated September 2 1876 and "3540" underneath. Overall measures apprx. 9-1/4"T x 7-3/4"L x 6-1/4"W closed and 11-5/8"L opened.
