  A 19th century French and ormolu mounted black marble mantel clock surmounted with a figure of a reclining muse leaning against a plinth incorporating a blue enamelled dial signed D?cle a Paris unsigned silk suspension movement 21.5in. H.16in. Estimate ?500-800 Some light wear to the edges of the ormolu principally on the beading around the bezel and across the plinth a 3 inch section of beading missing from the left hand corner of the plinth a few small chips to the edges base plinth appears to have been apart and re-stuck further more notable chipping at the back corners mid section of plinth has a chip to the top left corner and repaired breaks to both sides marble beneath dial has repaired crack going through it and large chip missing from back left corner. Some polish wear to the raised areas of the bronze figure numerous small hairline cracks to the enamel dial along with some re-building just below 8 o'clock. Movement dirty but appears complete no pendulum present. Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports.
