Height: 3 1/2 Diameter: 7 1/2" Condition: Gilt rubbing with some losses, surface smudges and soil, and kiln frits with soil.   19C CHINESE EXPORT SACRED BIRD BUTTERFLY PLATESSet of 8 plates, circa 1810-20, decoration known as "Sacred Bird & Butterfly," a Chinese export pattern that was so popular it was reproduced by the English throughout the early VIctorian era, and is still being reproduced by Mottahedeh even today. These eight plates are in very good condition, with no chips or cracks, no repairs, and only a little wear -- only one plate has a fleabite along the edge. Measure 8-3/8" diameter.
