1801 Adam and Eve sampler, Adam and Eve below a pair of angels and four-line inscription within an inner border with acorns, three-line quote from Milton bottom center above "Ann Hildreth Her Sampler 1801", floral and animal motifs throughout, silk on linen, probably British, 20-1/2 x 17-1/4 in. (sight); later wood frame. Fading, browning of linen, linen is not flat in frame. Estate of the Late Wyatt W. Childs, Barnesville, Georgia.

Condition:
Professional restoration to one seam and one diamond. Some scattered light stains (largest is 6"w, very light liquid stain to 1 edge) and light fading, overall very good condition.
