LARGE BLUE FIRKIN, 19TH C.A large 19th century light blue painted firkin. Stave constructed with single finger laps and a slight taper towards the top. Firkin has a bentwood handle with wooden peg attachment.
This is the second largest in a group of six graduated firkins.
Firkin measures 14 inches tall by 14.5 inches in diameter.
Condition
Firkin is in good condition. There is some paint wear around raised edges. Some of the bands are loose from wood shrinkage.
