  BONE AND SILVER HUNTING CANECa. 1870-Straight bone handle turned in a stretching vertical, almost cylindrical shape and carved in low relief with a continuous scene showing a hound chasing a deer against a mountainous background with tree. The handle is topped by a finely engraved silver cap centered by the initials of the first cane’s owner, terminates with an integral, wider foliates collar, and comes on a maple wood shaft and a matching horn ferrule.
