A RARE PAIR OF PORTRAIT PAINTINGS OF ENGLISH REGENCY TWIN GIRLS A Lovely Set of Red Haired, Brown Eyed Young Twin Girls, with blushing cheeks, having matching gold loop earrings, coral bead necklaces on their necks, and classic high waisted white cotton summer dresses, pleated at the bosom and short sleeved, oil on canvas, unsigned, housed in the original handcarved black frames with gilt liners, brass loop hangers, OS: 18" x 14 3/4", SS: 15 1/2" x 12 1/4", cleaned, relined and retouched.

Dressed alike the young ladies are realistically depicted facing each other; individual character of each profile demonstrates the artist's skill in observation and rendering. 5-1/2" x 4-5/8" overall framed size.
