CONDITION
Observed in frame, the painting appears in very good original condition. A very small tear visible near boy left shoulder, measuring 1 cm (3/8 in.). A vertical line is visible to the left side of the boy, extending from the upper left edge down towards the boys left shoulder, measuring 20 cm (7 7/8in.) in length. A vertical line to the right of the boys head measuring 5 cm (2in.) in length. The canvas as slightly warped causing a visible waviness. Inspection under UV shows scattered retouching to the two lines as mentioned and to a horizontal line from the lower left edge to the lower right edge, measuring 24 cm (9 1/2 in.)
