Three pieces brown-glazed earthenware: lidded ovoid pot, black decoration with circular wreath on sides and lid, 8-1/2 in., extensive glaze losses at rim, other surface abrasions and wear, lid with rim chip ; tapered flowerpot with scalloped rim, 6-3/4 in., glaze chips at rim, other glaze irregularities as made ; footed redware cheese drainer, globular form, sides and base with holes as made, 7-1/4 in., large glaze losses and chips especially at base , probably American, 19th century. Deaccessioned from MESDA and Old Salem to benefit the Acquisition Fund.

An American Pueblo Blackware
An American Pueblo Blackware Pottery Basket and Bowl An unsigned vintage blackware pottery basket with a piecrust inverted rim integral handle decorated in a polished and matte finish with a slightly ruddy cast to the color. The bowl has an inverted rim and tapering lower portion and is decorated in matte and glossy burnished finish in a similar manner to the basket.
