FRENCH CHERRY BUFFET, CA. 18TH C.A Louis XV style cherry two-door buffet, French, circa 18th century. Original iron hardware. Mortise-and-tenon construction, breadboard top, classical decoration carved in low relief. The interior shelves are lined with old yellow burlap. Measures 42" x 52" x 18".
Condition
There are inactive areas of heavy woodworm in scattered areas across the piece. The top is color-faded and bowed. The lock mechanism works, and the key is present. The two front feet have been replaced to make the piece structurally sturdy.
