CURTIS JERE RAINDROPSCirca 1975 for Artisan House, signed '© C Jeré', dated 1975. Wall Sculpture. Brass and copper, with mixed metal wire. Height 26 in. Width 62 in. Depth 8 in. Cf. Curtis Jeré in collaboration with Curtis (Kurt) Freiler, a German immigrant, founded Artisan House in 1963. Their creative brand had become renowned for the eclectic and decorative wall and floor sculptures. Mainly abstract and multi-dimensional in form, most of their output was composed of geometric elements made of burnished copper, brass and aluminum, the offered wall sculpture, titled, Raindrops is one of their best-known works. A virtually identical example, signed C. Curtis, sold Christies, London, October 12, 2016, price realized GBP 7500.
