GROUP OF CHINESE CABBAGE TEA SET,
GROUP OF CHINESE CABBAGE TEA SET, ROC PERIOD A set of five pieces Chinese porcelain cabbage tea service; four cups/saucers a teapot. Thin, translucent and delicate porcelain cups and saucers, with green glaze predominant, the cabbage theme has yellow and green butterflies integrated into design. Center of the saucers feature gold Shou symbol of longevity. Teapot has naturalistic spout and handle. Shou theme continued on teapot with a symbol on each side, in red glaze.
Cup: D. 4" (10.1 cm) Saucer D. 5 1/2" (14 cm)
Condition: good condition overall for age and use. Small chip on rim of teapot. Lid has two cracks repaired.

A Delicate Italian Majolica Tea Set Este Ceramiche The set including a 7-1/2"H lidded pitcher 4"H lidded sugar bowl 3"H cream pitcher and six matching 2-1/4"H demitasse cups and 5"D saucers marked underneath. The pieces are molded in the shape of cauliflower leaves and hand painted in clear green. The lids of the pitcher and sugar bowl have the domed hobnailed effect of cauliflower with a gray wash and the finials and handles are yellow butterflies and blue and orchid flowers.
