17TH/18TH C. JAPANNED CHINOISERIE CABINET ON STAND English (likely London), late 17th to early 18th century. Architectural form black japanned floral and figural chinoiserie and near Eastern gilt decorated table cabinet having a flattened pediment with hinged top, double doors that open to reveal an interior fitted with nine-drawers, now on a later stand. Unmarked. Note: A cabinet of near identical form and decoration (W.9-1936) can be found in the collection of the Victoria & Albert museum, London. Previously retailed by the W.E. Browne Decorating Co., Atlanta, GA. Approx. h. 23.125", w. 18.375", d. 9.75" (cabinet); h. 53.125", w. 19.5", d. 10.75" (overall).

SPANISH COLONIAL CABINET Dark oak and elm one-piece cabinet with chip carved door panels and drawer fronts, flat top (missing crown molding), hand forged iron elongated tear drop pulls, escutcheons and barrel hinges; the upper portion having two square doors with floral panels, centered pulls; fixed intermediate molding with two drawers just below having fern leaf carving, geometric frame; the two larger lower doors in simple molded panels along with sides. Keys for both locks are present. 69" x 52" x 21". Inletted repair to one leg.
