[Political Americana - Lincolniana] Lincoln Campaign Torch Swing Style 8'' high (not including swing). Torches of this sort were used in the parades given in support of Abraham Lincoln before the 1860 election. The swing was mounted to the end of a pole and held above the head and many were fitted with three or four-sided transparencies bearing campaign slogans and images of Old Abe.
