CAPODIMONTE 19TH OVERSIZED BACCHANAL STEIN WITH DIANAA large Capodimonte (Italy) soft-paste porcelain stein with extensive figural high-relief, including a Baccanalalian frieze and a finial of Diana the Huntress. Secondary motifs include small putti heads and boar-and-hound heads. "N under crown" mark in blue underglaze and impressed "5544" to the underside. Circa late 19th century. Measures 18" x 8 1/2" x 6 3/4".
Condition
Only one small loss noted: the object that Diana held in her right hand has broken off. Otherwise the condition is very good.
