17th century carved oak great
17th century carved oak great chair, oak throughout, frame-and-panel construction, shaped arms, turned front legs, one panel with carved initials "WL", mellow old color, probably British, 45 x 24-1/2 x 16 in. Replaced plank seat, one scrolled ear replaced, back of seat frame set with later bolts, otherwise generally good condition with some cracks to side seat rails, other minor surface stains, wax drips and normal wear. Estate of the Late William and Priscilla Carlebach, Mystic, Connecticut and Bedford, New York.
