PAIR OF STAFFORDSHIRE PORCELAIN RECUMBENT SHEEP. Together with a Staffordshire porcelain group of two sheep and two English covered porcelain boxes Sheep: 2.5'' x 3.5'' Condition: All covered in a layer of sticky grime. Medium amount of gilt loss to boxes decorated with kittens. Significant to almost complete gilt loss to box decorated with boat. Sheep figural group : crack through the middle torso of the left sheep that has been repaired but still visible and the other sheep has a hairline crack around it's ankle. The middle three branch is missing and the left and right flowers have chipped/broken off petals. Pair of sheep: one sheep has cracking in the glaze on its back both appear to bee missing patches texture embellishment on their bodies. slight pigment loss to base.

Lined, restretched on old stretcher, crackle, hole in varnish with some paint loss (burn?), retouch down right side (former stretcher mark?) and down left edge and some small points at top and bottom with less than 2 percent of surface affected; frame possibly regilt, minor losses, abrasions. Descended in Goncharoff family.
