Born in Paris in 1903, Georges Charles Robin was a student of Paul Michel Dupuy at École des Beaux-Arts, achieving success in his early career as a stage designer for the Charleville Theatre and the Dinan Casino. His impressionistic portrayals of these idyllic river landscapes convey the rich colours and compelling beauty of this environment.
