ROCKLEDGE PHOTO GIANT FISH CA.
ROCKLEDGE PHOTO GIANT FISH CA. 1890SThis giant fish is almost as large as the lucky angler who caught him. It is not clear what fish it is; not a grouper, not a tarpon. Looks like a Redfish without a spot by his tail. The label at the bottom of the photo identifies the photographer as N. J. Rossiter of Rockledge, FL who specializes in "Indian River Views".The 8-1/4" x 6" photo shows great detail., and is permanently mounted on a heavy cardboard backing 7-1/2" x 9-1/2". A narrow gold-colored frame holds the photo behind a cover glass. This whole unit is then set into another wood carved frame that also appears to be original. Excellent condition.
