HILLERS NATIVE AMERICAN STEREOVIEW CARDSGroup of three late 19th C. Native American Indian stereo view cards. One showing the Arapaho leader YELLOW BEAR and his wife, apparently posed among the rocks at the Grand Council in Okmulgee in 1875. He is seen here wearing the peace medal he wasawarded. The image for this stereoviewer card is reputedly by John K. Hillers, as documented by the Huntington Library although this card is titled "Canons of the Colorado River of the West" and put out by the U. S. Topographical and Geological Surey. one titled "Indian Lodge" and showing two Ute men and a boy standing outside of a tipi. Department of the Interior label on the verso. One published by Prof. S. J. Sedgwick, No. 580 Indian Series titled on the back "Shoshone Indians". Each apx. 7" x 4-5/8". Some discoloration, one card with a bend in the center. See images for more details on condition.
