Provenance: East Tennessee collection, by descent from Edwin V. Hill, M.D., deceased 1969. Dr. Hill was a faculty member of Tufts and Harvard Medical Schools and served as a Colonel in the U.S. Army. The green glazed bowl has a lightly incised lotus design on the inside around a decorative ring in the center. The outside has lotus leaves surrounding the bowl. The base is recessed and glazez in celadon, with the foot unglazed stoneware.

Good condition overall for age and use. Two glaze dimple spots on the outside which occurred in the firing.
