A Swiss Black Forest Carved Hall Tree with Four Cubs and Mother Bear ca. 1910 After Louis Meichtry Brienz. Finely carved lindenwood modeled as a bear climbing a fir tree after three young cubs above outstretched branches serving as garment hooks and a fourth cub at the bears lower paws. All have glass eyes expertly carved with attention to detail. Rubbed with nice patina overall. Comprised of 9 sections including the base with well umbrella holder and five arms.
