VICTORIAN CRAZY QUILT COVERLET INC MASONIC, C 1885 American Victorian crazy quilt coverlet, circa 1885, embellished with a rare colored pictorial Masonic Knights Templar patch from "St. Elmo Commandery No. 9 / Meriden Conn / Chicago 1880," the patches of silk, grosgrain, velvet, polished cotton, and more sporting embroidered crescent moon, butterfly, flowers, a bullfrog, lucky horseshoe, cherries, and other images, edged with tea-stained tatted lace. 4' 8" X 5' 4". Some silk patches beginning to shatter, tear and minor fabric loss on underside.
