Provenance: Neal Auctions, February 1998 lot 736; Clifton Anderson, 1999, with copy of receipt for $16,000 and other documents; Private Collection Condition: very good overall, original feet and blocking (old splice repair at one rear foot), cracks, patches, and distress to skirt veneer (one side skirt restored), hinges replaced, possible restorations at drawer bottoms, some minor patches at door framing, brass door escutcheons replaced, shelves are old replacements, other scratches and surface abrasions, typical shrinkage and very minor warping to doors (accompanied by copy of receipt from Miguel Saco, New York for conservation work "repairing, cleaning, touching-up, making key, and finishing...")
