Note: This work is possibly by Vincenzo Angelo Orelli (Italy, c 1755-1813) and may have been a study for the ceiling of the Santa Maria Annunciata in Serina, Italy painted between 1800 and 1810. The Estate of Margaret Harold Roberts, Lookout Mountain, Georgia. Condition: Overall heavy craquelure and grime expected with age. Some scattered paint loss in the lower and middle right quadrant, the lower-left corner, upper left corner, and center of the work, largest area approximately 1/2" long, Frame with scattered gilt loss along outer and inner perimeter.
