A THONET STYLE CANED AND BENTWOOD ROCKING CHAIR, EARLY ...A THONET STYLE CANED AND BENTWOOD ROCKING CHAIR, EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the arched rectangular caned back within curling tipped stiles continuing downwards as whiplash back legs and mounted with sloped arms flanking a later square form plywood seat on scrolled supports and joined by rod form stretchers, verso impressed numbers "2 8." Height: 35 1/4" Width: 22 1/2" Depth: 39 1/2"
Condition:
Caned back has a few damages, seat formerly caned and replaced at later date with a plywood panel, old repairs, later reinforcement additions, cracks, scuff marks, scratches, nicks, and considerable surface buildup throughout.
