ASIAN: CHINESE EXPORT ARMORIAL PORCELAIN, C. 1735 - 1770, (YUNG CHENG, QIANLONG, CH'IEN LUNG, ETC.), EIGHT PIECES, INCLUDES THE CRES..ASIAN: Chinese Export Armorial porcelain, c. 1735 - 1770, (Yung Cheng, Qianlong, Ch'ien Lung, etc.), eight pieces, includes the crest of arms for Preston, Ginkel, Ferguson, Bucknall/ Bucknell, Dundas, etc., pieces include: two small octagonal plates with arms for Preston of Valleyfield House, Perth, Scotland with the badge of a baronet of Nova Scotia at center, c. 1770, design features gilded lions flanking shield, crest with a ducal coronet and unicorn head proper, and motto "Praesto et praestem", (note: Capt. Robert Preston was in Canton with the British East India Com. from 1768 - 1770), both pieces with scattered damage around rim, 6 1/8" diam.; low bowl with arms of Ginkel, Earl of Athlone, Ireland, c. 1760, center design features shield with black and white chevron pattern flanked by griffens, two chips to rim with scattered roughness, 8 1/8" diam.; plate with arms of Ferguson of Kilkerran, Scotland, c. 1750, center design features blue shield with three boars' heads, crest with bee on thistle, motto reads "Dulcius ex asperis", hairline to rim, small scattered chips and flakes to rim, 9" diam.; teacup and saucer with arms of Bucknall (or Bucknell), Ireland, c. 1735, crest design features two red chevron guls between three bucks' heads, teacup with small chips to rim and foot, 1 5/8" h. x 3" diam., saucer with repaired crack to rim, 5 1/8" diam.; teacup with the arms of Dundas, c. 1765, featuring a lion rampart within a bordure gules, crest with demi lion gardant issuing from a bush of oak vert, motto in banner reads "Essayez", repaired rim to rim crack with some loss, 2" h. x 3 1/2" diam.; and last a similar 18th C. teacup with red banded shield with three dots and crest of lion gardant holding trident, flakes to rim and foot, 3 1/8" diam., all pieces with wear consistent with age and use including firing imperfections, loss of finish, roughness, etc.

Four plates with hairlines; one with restoration. All plates with some loss to gilt and enamel.
