CHINESE FOLDING FANS Lot of (2) 19th c. Hand Fans, incl: Fan in fitted silk lined lacquer box, the fan having ivory guards carved with intricate figural village scene decoration, carved and pierced ivory sticks, and paper top panel with hand painted on both sides with continuous figural scenes, fan: 11 1/4" long, box: 13" x 2 1/2" x 2 1/4", break to one guard, small edge tears and folds to paper panel; and Carved ivory fan, with carved figural village scene guards, similarly carved and pierced blades, 7 1/2" long, breaks and losses to ribbon connecting blades.
