PRESENTATION COLT 1849 POCKET
PRESENTATION COLT 1849 POCKET REVOLVER, .31 CALIBER A beautiful .31 caliber Colt pocket revolver allegedly presented to Civil War veteran Colonel Walter G. Morrill of the Twentieth Maine Volunteer Regiment. The revolver comes in its original velvet-lined case with all accessories including: nipple-wrench/screwdriver multitool, powder flask, bullet/ball mold, and an Eley Bro's percussion cap tin. The revolver itself features an octagonal four-inch barrel with deep-blue finish with a case-hardened frame and hammer. The cylinder bears an engraving depicting a scene of a man repelling would-be highwayman from a stage coach, which matches Colt's records for the serial number. The grips have been replaced with carved ivory depicting only on the left side an American Bald Eagle clutching olive branches and arrows over a scroll reading "LIBERTY." The revolver is still in good mechanical condition with tight lock-up and no issues with timing observed. The finish is largely worn off the cylinder although it is largely intact on the barrel. All serial numbers are matching. S/N: 192815, Caliber: .31 Black Powder, BBL: 4", OAL: 9 1/2"
