NATIVE AMERICAN QUILL WORK, TUFTED MOOSE HAIR ETCSun bleached leather moccasins with floral decoration of dyed and tufted moose hair by Arabella Creighton, a hair keeper of the the same technique and a small, nicely executed quill work box with rabbit on the cover.Measures 2 x 2.25 x 2.25 inches. Moccasins measures 2 x 6.75 x 3 and the clip is 4 x 2.75 inches.Very good clean condition, noting quill separations on the box.Provenance: The 40 year collection of Father Tom Wiederholt, Kansas City, Missouri. Tom was a close personal friend of scholar and curator Ralph 'Ted' Coe who advised Tom on most of his acquisitions.
