REGENCY GENTLEMAN'S ROSEWOOD WRITING BOX ON CUSTOM STAN...Late Regency Gentleman's Brass-bound Rosewood Writing Box on Custom Stand, circa 1830, the hinged top of the rectangular case centered by escutcheon engraved "Mr. C.S. Jamieson" and opening to a gilt-tooled dark red morocco leather writing surface and a row of small compartments fitted with two clear glass ink pots with sterling silver locking caps and a pounce pot with sterling cap (all London, 1824, untraced mark SN); the pin-locked side drawer compartmentalized and appointed with clear glass soap and sponge boxes and a third oblong box of wood (a skillful replacement), all with sterling covers (London 1834, mark of Wm Neal), a circular glass box with sterling lid (London, 1838, probably mark of Thomas Diller), two stoppered clear glass bottles with unmarked silver screw caps, an apparently unmarked silver retractable shaving brush with monogrammed lid, a vintage German straight razor, a small turned bone ointment jar with screw cap, and two brass-inlaid rosewood lids on a bespoke extendable stand allowing the writing slope to be deployed.
Box 10 in. x 22 in. x 12 in. Overall: Height 38 ¾ in. Width 24 in. Depth 13 ½ in.

Spirits box, Newburyport, brass-covered portable liquor chest with eight clear glass bottles, brass panels with punched heart, flower and paisley decoration, iron strapwork borders and corners, interior with sectional dividers with later green paint, iron carrying handles and hand made iron lock, interior of lid with plastic liner, top with oval brass plaque "Patrick Tracy/Newburyport", British or Continental, late 18th/early 19th century, 9-3/4 x 14-3/4 x 12 in., back with extensive rust and losses, dividers possibly later ; eight bottles, threaded tops with metal caps (probably pewter), lids and stoppers marked with crowned rose with "FS", 8-1/8 in., four bottles lacking tops, one with large crack, one with 1 in. shallow chip, other scattered chips, some with damaged lids and threads, some with interior stains, other scattered chips and losses .
