TALL CASE CLOCK. Probably Ohio River Valley 2nd quarter-19th century cherry poplar and yellow pine. Broken-arch pediment with carved rosettes turned quarter columns and resting on turned feet. German brass movement has a floral-painted dial. Imperfections. Found in West Virginia and retains an older railroad shipping label from Muncie Indiana. 93 1/4''h. Retains weights; older finish renailed backboards repairs to the hood the hood is fixed to the case cherry panel above the door is likely later top of the hood is replaced various losses dial is repainted.

Retains weights and pendulum; minor crack to the door never had finials backboard partially replaced.

Reed & Watson Ohio tall-case clock, cherry case with poplar secondary, arched door and waisted case over box-form base, painted wooden dial centering urn with cornucopias of flowers and gilt spandrels, Ohio, early 19th century, 96 x 21-1/2 x 12-1/4 in. Old refinishing, dial in good condition with surface dirt, case uprights have been extended 1/2 in., saddle board replaced, restorations to wooden works (tag verso for Frank Alexander Clock Repair, Florida), base and base molding replaced, top of hood replaced with composite sheet, hood hinges replaced with strip patches, period weights and replaced pendulum (accompanied by possibly original pendulum), second hand off but present.

CONDITION: Very acceptable condition of case shows normal signs of use and would polish beautifully. Hairline to face. Standard Caveat: Currently running but not guaranteed to keep accurate time or continue.
