A Brewster & Ingraham Four Spire Steeple Clock Walnut case flanked by four turned columns with conical finials double panel door with lock and key cast metal escutcheon with wheel-cut etched glass design in lower panel painted zinc dial with Roman numerals printed paper with information about the clock applied to the inside back panel with directions covered with plexi panel. Comes with key and pendulum. Brass springs.Elias Ingraham (1805-1885) worked as a designer and cabinet maker for George Mitchell in 1828. He designed made and sold the first sharp gothic better known as the steeple clock. During WWII and the Korean War the company made anti-aircraft fuses.
