• A Maurice Adams Art Deco satin birch
  A Maurice Adams Art Deco satin birch and ebonised cocktail cabinet with central doors and stepped fluted uprights 4ft 8in. x 5ft 6in. Estimate ?1 000-1 500 General rubbing and chipping to the ebonised fluting around top of the cocktail cabinet lesser so to the side supports which are in a better condition. One small chip to veneer on top left of the cabinet another chip to the veneer below the left hand door this is about 2 x 1 inch and another much smaller just along the base edge from this other little knocks and scuffs throughout consistent with age and many little hairline cracks to the veneer but these are non threatening and just remain part of the patina. Internally lacking all glass but retains original glass backing tarnishing to the glass shelf brackets which are lacking and to all the cocktail skewers compartment surface for the glasses is discoloured and somewhat dry similar condition to the inside of the cupboard and again lacking all glass fittings one large paint mark to the surface inside here and the back of one door does have a label of Caplans. Estimate ?1 000-1 500 Veneer to the top of the cocktail cabinet is dry with many water marks and does have some cracking and is lifting left hand plateau with some blemishes to veneer somewhat lighter in appearance but otherwise fair other scuffs and some scratches here and there consistent with age and use and some general wear around the plinth on the base otherwise externally ok. Internally retains its two glass shelves amber mirrored slide with some scratches and blemishes to the surface lacking glass fittings to the cupboard area beneath some blemishes internally but otherwise ok.
