CONDITION
The figurine is in good condition. Inspection under UV light shows no sign of restoration.

A Hand Decorated Porcelain
A Hand Decorated Porcelain Cabinet Cup and Saucer. The elaborately styled cup has a pedestal base and a scrolling handle with an acanthus shape at the base and a classical mask inside the curve of the top. The pieces are decorated with Gothic architectural details on a pink ground and the interior of the cup is a pale yellow ground, all with gilt accents. The cup has a panel at the front with an interior scene of a man selling a game bird to a woman seated in her kitchen. Both pieces have a blue mark on the underside that reads "Sevre" (no s at the end) surrounded with scrolls and with a fleur de lis above. Cup approx. 3-5/8"H, handle approx. 5"H saucer approx. 6-1/4"D.

All pieces hand painted with starry design of ruby red-deep green-ivory on white background with gilt highlights. Pieces marked with impressed "TK" dating from 1830-1895 and numbers also marked with iron red winged crown hallmark of a company imported from Count Thun and "Austria" in a double circle on the bottom.
