Rotating gimmick incorporated into top ball knob.

A silverplated 18th C coffee pot, flat hinged lit with thumbrest, birds beak spout on baluster form body with wooden handle, raised on three pad-foot legs, an inset sterling disk in the side with bright-cut engraving around the edge and script initials A.J., and 20th century engraving on the inside of the lid showing descent from one Abigal [sic] Child, great-great-granddaughter of Oliver Cromwell, to Pelham Winslow Bogert in 1926. No other marks. Approximately 12-1/2" in height.
