Monogrammed "SLJ". 11" H x 9 1/2" W x approx. 6 1/8" D. 22.055 troy ounces sterling. 2nd item: Large coin silver serving spoon with rounded fins, downturned rounded tipt and oblong bowl. Westervelt (working Newberg, NY, mid 19th century). 4" H to top of handle, 3.32 oz troy. 2nd item: French 1st standard silver beaker, mark for Armand Gross (Paris, France, working circa 1893 and later), with impressed anthemion and laurel frieze. Old lion-anchor-g marks to underside with number 53. Oral history states that this cup was purchased in Houston by a Civil War soldier who served in Hood's Army Regiment in Texas.
