  A set of four early 19th century cream ware dessert plates each painted in brown enamels with hunting dogs or a gentleman and a donkey with pierced basket weave borders picked out in brown enamels 8in. Estimate ?150-250 All of the plates have very minor small glaze losses to the edge or to the brown enamel on the border the two plates with a collie type dog are stained and have disc plate hangers stuck to the back of them all three of the dog plates have a slight foot rim to the back the plate with the man and donkey has slightly more glaze losses and a slight shallow chip to the border and a fine crack to the border also it is flat on the back and does not have a foot rim also the basketweave on this plate is slightly different so possibly by a different maker or at a different stage of production in the same factory.
