The case is raised on four spindle turned supports resting on the 'seat', surmounted by a pierced ormolu pediment. The chain driven movement with verge escapement, striking the hour on a central mounted bell, housed within a painted tole case with hinged side panels. Mechanism untested at the time of cataloguing. Holland, 18th century. Dimensions, 29" high x 13.75" wide x 9.5" deep.
