MAHOGANY GRANDFATHER CLOCK Colonial Manufacturing Company (American 1899-1985), tall case or grandfather clock, circa 1980, having a mahogany, parcel gilt, and ebonized case, scrolled broken pediment centering on an urn finial, glass door and sides, half round pilasters, moon phase above a dial with Arabic numbers, with five brass tubes and pendulum, and rising on plinth base with low block feet, serial number 8011855 engraved on a brass plaque to the door, marked to dial and brass plaque. This present piece was bench made and exhibits unusually skilled cabinet work utilizing rose-head-style nails throughout its construction.
