An extremely nice Colt Navy, serial number 94635, manufactured in 1860, and retaining much original blue, case hardening, and silver plate on the trigger guard and backstrap. The Naval battle scene on the cylinder is almost completely visible, and the Hartford address is deep and clean. The gun is exceptionally nice, and very tight. It is in .36 caliber.
Dimensions: 7.5 inch barrel, and the gun overall is 14 inches long. Processing and shipping with in the continental U.S. $55.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Condition:
Very good to excellent overall. The grips show minor wear. The action is very tight, but the gun needs timing, as it sticks on cocking. COLT US ARMY MODEL 1917 45 ACP REVOLVERColt Army model 1917 .45 ACP 6 shot double action revolver. Barrel measures 5 1/2". Serial #54608 (1919). Fixed blade front and frame notch rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT D.A. 45" with the two-line Hartford address and patent dates on the top. The underside of the barrel is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". The revolver has the correct standard unpolished blue finish with the Rampant Colt on the side plate, factory inspection marks, and a circled "JMH" final inspection mark at the top left of the frame. The butt has standard model and military serial number markings as well as a lanyard loop. Fitted with smooth grips. 85% plus original blue finish remains with some high point and muzzle wear, scattered light spotting, and a mottled gray/brown patina on the grip straps. The revarnished grips are fine and have some small handling marks and light pressure indentations. Mechanically excellent. See photos for more details on condition. The screws are all in very good and undamaged condition. There are traces of the engraved scene on the cylinder. Dimensions: 5 inch barrel, 10.75 inches long overall.
