Colt Model 1862 Police Percussion Revolver .36 cal. 4.5'' round barrel S/N 3233. Single-line New York address; brass backstrap and triggerguard; walnut grips. Condition: Barrel retains 90% of the original blue finish with some very minute spots of brown flaking. Cylinder retains 95% of the original blue finish with some tiny brown spots of flaking; a bright line through the cylinder slots. Still retains cylinder pins on the back of cylinder. Frame loading lever and hammer retain 95% of the original case coloring. Backstrap and triggerguard retain 98% of the silver plating. Walnut grips retain all of the original varnish finish. This is a very strong Colt 1862.

Colt patent left side of frame .36 caliber left trigger guard strap. Fluted cylinder is marked '' Pat. Sept. 10th 1850''. Blueing worn off has a nice patina. Matching serial numbers. Has a super strong trigger spring and a hair trigger. Screw head broken off above barrel pin.

Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver .44 cal. 8'' round barrel S/N 132792. Iron backstrap brass triggerguard sub-inspectors' marks on the cylinder backstrap barrel triggerguard. All numbers match except the wedge which is unnumbered. One-piece walnut grips. Condition: All markings are sharp and crisp. Revolver appears to be an old arsenal refinish with a blued frame. Cylinder frame backstrap and barrel show some iridescence of blue bleeding through the brown patina. Nice untouched patina on the triggerguard. Grips are nice and untouched with some nicks and dings.

Colt Percussion Pocket Model of Navy Caliber .36 cal. 6.5'' octagonal barrel with single-line address S/N 697. 36 caliber marked on triggerguard. All serial numbers match but no numbers on the loading lever. Round rebated cylinder with stagecoach scene. One-piece varnished walnut grips. Condition: All markings are sharp and crisp. Barrel is plum with iridescent traces of blue finish popping through the patina. Loading lever is nice brown; frame with a dark blue grey patina. Cylinder scene is very nice; cylinder has a nice blue patina and still retains pins on the back of the cylinder. Brass backstrap and triggerguard with nice untouched patina. Walnut grips still retain the original varnished finish with some wear and darkening around the sharp edge.

COLT MODEL 1851 NAVY .36 CAL PERCUSSION REVOLVERFeatured in this lot we have a Colt model 1851 Navy percussion cap revolver chambered in .36 caliber. This revolver features a 7 1/2" long octagonal barrel engraved six shot cylinder, case hardened frame, under barrel ram rod, walnut grips, and silver finish trigger guard. The top of the barrel displays clear stamping reading "ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY". The cylinder displays an engraved naval scene marked on the side "COLTS PATENT NO 25387 Engraved by W.L. Ornsby New York" and "Engaged 16 May 1845". The barrel, frame, cylinder, and trigger guard display matching serial number 25387 with the frame marked on the side "COLTS PATENT". This revolver has excellent mechanics and screws and has matching serial number, indicating a manufacture date of 1852. The Colt 1851 Navy was one of the most classic side arms of the Civil War and later in the Old West. Wild Bill Hickock was carrying a pair of Colt 1851 Navy revolvers when he was gunned down in Deadwood, South Dakota on August 2, 1876. The revolver shows good condition with some light wear due to handling and some minor wear on the blue'd finish. The pistol weights 2lbs 10oz. Serial Number: 25387. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.

An extremely nice Colt 1862 Police Revolver in percussion, serial number 9630, manufactured in 1862, retaining much original blue finish, mixed with brown. It has a 5- shot cylinder, and 4 ½ inch barrel, and is in .36 caliber. These were very commonly carried by officers in the US Civil War. Dimensions: 4.5 inch barrel, and 10 inches long overall. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $25.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Condition:
Very good shape, with a number of minor dings in the metal, especially around the wedge. There is a chip missing from the left grip. The gun retains much original blue, faded and mixed with brown. The brass lacks its silver plating, and the grips show wear. The action is crisp, and the timing is perfect. Most of the screws have been slightly banged up. Much of the blueing and silver plating remains. The bore has good rifling. Very minor rust in the bore and cylinders. Excellent mechanics. An old price tag for this revolver indicates that it was carried by William Thorn of Mississippi however there are no markings on the gun itself to support this and civilwardata.com does not list a William Thorn from Mississippi.

Backstrap and triggerguard retain all of the silver-plated finish with some of it bumbling up on the backstrap and thinning.
