  COLT US ARMY MODEL 1917 45 ACP REVOLVERColt Army model 1917 .45 ACP 6 shot double action revolver. Barrel measures 5 1/2". Serial #54608 (1919). Fixed blade front and frame notch rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT D.A. 45" with the two-line Hartford address and patent dates on the top. The underside of the barrel is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". The revolver has the correct standard unpolished blue finish with the Rampant Colt on the side plate, factory inspection marks, and a circled "JMH" final inspection mark at the top left of the frame. The butt has standard model and military serial number markings as well as a lanyard loop. Fitted with smooth grips. 85% plus original blue finish remains with some high point and muzzle wear, scattered light spotting, and a mottled gray/brown patina on the grip straps. The revarnished grips are fine and have some small handling marks and light pressure indentations. Mechanically excellent. See photos for more details on condition.
