COLT DA 38 ARMY MODEL 1903Colt double action Army Model 1903. Serial #240554. Barrel measures approx. 6". Capacity 6 rounds in .38 Long Colt caliber. Cylinder is stamped R.A.C. Clean bore and cylinders. Timing is good and lockup is fairly tight. Finish has age appropriate wear with areas of heavy oxidation and finish loss. Grips have wear, small chips on the edges and have age cracks visible on the undersides. This item can be shipped in-house. Condition:
60% blue and case hardened. Good bore and mechanics. Screws are not bugged. Excellent mechanical. Stocks unnumbered but fit perfectly. At base of back strap there is 1/2" x 1/4" slot that was cut out and later filled with a silver metal insert.

Colt Model 1860 Percussion Army
Colt Model 1860 Percussion Army Revolver .44 cal. 8'' round barrel S/N 23552. Four-screw frame; all numbers match. Brass triggerguard iron backstrap checkered wood grips. Comes with original Civil War leather holster. Revolver has an old tag that states Charles Crandall of Binghamton New York. Condition: All metal is gunmetal grey with some staining and pitting; shows use. Original grips have been checkered over. Triggerguard has a nice untouched patina. The holster shows use and leather is supple with some cracking and crazing.

James Joseph Igoe (1859-1919) served in the Spanish American War and was Captain of the USS Celtic which was the largest contingent of the South Carolina Navy Militia. Under his direction the vessel supplied forces in American and Cuban waters and sailed around Cape Horn for operations in the Philippine Islands. He and his family settled in Charleston South Carolina and he constructed a house at 9 New St. For a period of time he served as the Harbor Commissioner. He was married to Caroline Florence Humphry and together they had several children.
