Comes with original Civil War leather holster. Revolver has an old tag that states Charles Crandall of Binghamton New York. Condition: All metal is gunmetal grey with some staining and pitting; shows use. Original grips have been checkered over. Triggerguard has a nice untouched patina. The holster shows use and leather is supple with some cracking and crazing.

Comes with Civil War period holster.` Condition: Very sharp and crisp revolver with traces of blue finish especially under the barrel where the loading lever protects the barrel. The finish is thinning to a nice patina. Some case colors showing on the frame and loading lever. Grips have been checkered over the original grips. Holster is cracking and crazing. Nice crisp cylinder scene.

Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver .44 cal. 8'' round barrel S/N 132792. Iron backstrap brass triggerguard sub-inspectors' marks on the cylinder backstrap barrel triggerguard. All numbers match except the wedge which is unnumbered. One-piece walnut grips. Condition: All markings are sharp and crisp. Revolver appears to be an old arsenal refinish with a blued frame. Cylinder frame backstrap and barrel show some iridescence of blue bleeding through the brown patina. Nice untouched patina on the triggerguard. Grips are nice and untouched with some nicks and dings.

Colt Model 1860 Fluted Cylinder Percussion Revolver .44 cal. 7.5'' round barrel S/N 1454. Single-line Hartford address. Four-screw frame. Blued finish with silver-plated backstrap and triggerguard. Walnut grips. Condition: All metal is very sharp and crisp retaining traces of high blue finish mixing with nice brown patina. Backstrap and triggerguard retain all of the silver-plated finish with some of it bumbling up on the backstrap and thinning. Grips retain most of the original varnish with some gone on the high lines. A very nice untouched Colt revolver.

Mfd. 1862.

Serial number matches on wedge but none on cylinder. Good mechanical action. There is a small letter s on the smooth portion of the cylinder.

Saml Colt New-York U.S. America," left side of frame marked "Colts Patent," cylinder stamped "US PATENT 32271/PAT. SEPT 10TH 1850", "S" inspector mark, back of trigger guard, stocks with monograms "L.J.B." with illegible cartouche, left side, "C.O" right side. Walnut stocks, round barrel, faint naval scene engraving on cylinder, brass trigger guard and back strap, iron mounted with nickel finish, checkered hammer, standard blade front sight, loading lever. Serial number corresponds to year 1862.
Condition:
Overall good condition with very light pepper pitting to metal, dings, primarily to cylinder. Stocks with light dings, carved monograms and cartouche. Naval scene engraving is very faint. Action holds at full and half cock. Bore is dirty with visible rifling.

S. inspector mark "H H" also on the cylinder along with Colt's patent mark and partial serial number. "D" U. S. Inspector mark on backstrap beneath bow and on tirgger guard just behind the grigger. Right rear of barrel frame and cylinder with condemnation mark "C". S inspector mark on Bottom of barrel beneath the barrel rod. Barrel length - 8". Overall length - 13 1/2". Note: Colt later used a number of condemned parts for Single Action Army revolvers sold on the commercial market. Double "HH" inspection mark indicates that this weapon was inspected twice. COLT MODEL 1860 ARMY REVOLVER. .44 caliber six-shot cylinder with engraved naval scene 8'' round barrel walnut grips with cartouches. S/n 116723. Includes original leather flap holster. According to family tradition this revolver was carried by John Alexander Howard of the 21st Pennsylvania Cavalry. Howard saw short but difficult action having been wounded at Petersburg in August 1864 and again at Amelia Springs (by a saber to the head) in April of 1865 and spent the remainder of the war in hospitals at City Point Washington and finally Philadelphia. Accompanying the revolver is the receipt for the purchase of it by Mr. Romanoff from presumed descendant H. Russell Howard of Pittsburgh. Mottled patina with scattered light oxidation pitting and corrosion at the bore marks still clear cylinder scene quite visible original finish on grips action is a bit stiff. Manufactured 1863. ''PAS'' scratch-carved on the right side of the grips. Various stamps including ''HH'' on left side of barrel ''F'' on right ''D'' at base of trigger guard. Cartouche on both sides of grips. Holster is dry but not falling apart. Matching SN's.

COLT MODEL 1849 POCKET REVOLVER. .31 caliber six-shot cylinder with engraved stagecoach scene 4'' octagonal barrel with one-line New York address and walnut grips. S/n 241155. With period/original flap holster. According to tradition this gun descended in the Long family of Terra Alta West Virginia. Only a few traces of bluing mostly with mottled gray patina scattered oxidation dings and dents mostly to the cylinder and to the wedge bore with some pitting action good marks clear cylinder scene still visible but faint in some areas. Manufactured 1863.
