Remington’s bronze, Coming through the Rye, created in 1902, depicts four boisterous cowboys, mounted on galloping horses, arms raised high, flaunting pistols. Inspiration for the sculpture was Remington’s own illustrations, which he created for publications in Century Magazine, 1888 and Harper's Weekly, 1889.
