A 2 inch-long scratch at upper edge. Stable craquelure throughout. Areas of inpainting throughout, including two small areas on the sitter's face, several areas in all four quadrants of the background, and along the edges to address frame abrasion; the largest area of inpainting approximately 4 x 2 inches and located to the right of the sitter's mouth and chin. Two 1-inch diameter patches applied to verso to address punctures and with corresponding inpainting to recto. The frame in good condition with only 2-3 minor chips to gilding.
