A Coromandel Floor Screen Each of the six hinged panels measures apprx. 72"H x 16"W. One side has a traditional Oriental design carved into the panels and painted in muted colors; the opposite side also depicting a floral motif but finished with sheets of metallic leaf now with an age patina. There are brass fittings on the feet of each panel.

EIGHT-PANEL GILT LACQUER COROMANDEL SCREENA mid-20th c. Chinese eight-panel coromandel screen, black lacquer with gold-leaf palace scene. To the reverse are polychrome tree and flower motifs. Each panel measures 84" x 16", and 7" deep altogether when completely folded up.
Condition
There is some wear to the gold leaf, but overall very good condition.
